I understand your point, and I actually agree that no man lives in complete isolation.
We all benefit from the work, knowledge, sacrifices, and support of others. We read books written by people we've never met, use technologies built by others, learn from mentors, and serve customers who believe in us.
However, that's not the context in which I made my statement.
My point is that no individual should believe their destiny, growth, or success is tied to a specific person.
People can contribute to your journey, but they should never become the reason you stop moving forward.
If everyone abandons you today, can you still continue building?
If your friends stop supporting you, can you still keep going?
If your team leaves, can you still find a way forward?
That's the perspective I'm speaking from.
Many people delay their dreams waiting for support, approval, partnerships, funding, or the "right people" to show up. Years pass, and nothing happens.
What changed my life was realizing that while people are valuable, I must never make my progress dependent on them.
I appreciate every person who has contributed to my journey. But if they didn't show up, I still had a responsibility to keep building.
So when I say nobody needs anyone to be successful, I'm not denying the value of people. I'm saying your commitment to your vision must be stronger than your dependence on people.
Support shouldn't be seen as an entitlement
Support should be seen as a blessing.
Your own Responsibility is a necessity.
And when support doesn't come, responsibility must still carry you forward.
