Thanks for honoring Katherine Esau and combining her drawings with modern-day microscopy @GeitmannLab. What an honor to see a #Brachypodium stoma next to Esau's sketch of graminoid stomata 😍! We use Esau's book and her definition of stomatal subsidiary cells to this day!
