Following member feedback, we are pleased to announce that the AUGIS Academy will be FREE for members.
The launch of the AUGIS Academy will take place at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London, on Monday 15 June, 10:00–16:30.
‘The academy creates a coherent national structure for Upper GI research. It brings together existing expertise, aligns priorities, and provides a clear route from early-stage ideas through to funded multicentre studies. This is about moving from fragmented activity to co-ordinated delivery at scale.' Director of Research, Professor Tim Underwood.
This is a working meeting, not a traditional conference. The aim is to bring the community together to define the next phase of AUGIS research and build the studies that will follow.
The morning will set out the Research Strategy and current activity across OG, pancreatic and liver domains. The afternoon is focused on small-group workshops to develop new multicentre studies, identify leads, and agree next steps toward delivery.
You should attend if you want to:
💠Influence national research priorities
💠Join or lead multicentre studies
💠Work directly with AUGIS Surgical Specialty Leads
💠Build collaborations across the UK and Ireland
You will leave with a clear role within a project or network, not just an overview.
