During the lockdown, I started streaming, maintained an average of 150ccv , gained sponsors, became a partner, and earned an unexpectedly large sum of money from pursuing my passion while part time.
As I grew older, I acknowledged that it wasn't sustainable for me. The pressure it brought, along with neglecting my social life, caused more stress than enjoyment.
I frequently receive messages from people interested in becoming full-time streamers, and while I never want to discourage anyone from pursuing their dreams, it's important to be well-informed about the industry and the long-term prospects of this career, especially given the limited opportunities in the UK.
Content and streaming are important, but being marketable is crucial for success and that's the difference between being successful or not.
can we be real?
the brand deals that were around in '20 are gone. Brands are not working with streamers in the same ways they used to. CCV isn't as important as it used to be now that the market is oversaturated and opportunities are reserved for the well connected.
I'm asking honestly- outside of platform goals like affiliate and partner- what makes you care about your ccv? do you feel the pressure of an unspoken rule that if you have more viewers you are more successful? Even though numbers can be manufactured and manipulated?
Is it financial?
I know streamers with 50ccv who make WAY more money in Subs than streamers with thousands of viewers. What's really going on here?
