Last night at the Pall Mall clubhouse, the Hurlingham, Lansdowne, Roehampton and Royal Automobile Clubs competed in a thrilling swimming gala. Congratulations to Hurlingham Club for taking first place after a series of close races.
The Mercury Cougar XR-7 gained notoriety in ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’, driven by Tracy di Vicenzo, played by Diana Rigg. Meticulously restored, the 1969 example in the rotunda is the most evocative survivor of the three film-used Cougars.
More than 1,600 members and guests came together for our much-loved annual fireworks celebration. Children enjoyed the funfair rides, families shared delicious food and everyone looked to the skies for a breathtaking display of light and sound.
