After spending time researching The Beaks, I think the biggest strength of the project isn’t hype.
It’s atmosphere.
Some NFT collections are easy to scroll past.
The Beaks is one of those projects that makes you stop for a second because every piece feels alive in a strange way.
The expressions.
The textures.
The surreal bird-human designs.
The dark storytelling energy.
It doesn’t look like art designed to follow trends.
It feels more like a visual world that already existed before minting ever became part of the conversation.
And I think that’s important.
The NFT space is slowly shifting again.
People are starting to value originality and recognizable style more than oversized promises or complicated “utility.”
Projects with strong visual identity tend to create stronger long-term communities because collectors emotionally connect to the art itself.
That’s also why The Beaks feels memorable before mint.
You can already tell which artwork belongs to the collection without even seeing the name attached.
Very few projects manage to achieve that.
The project also leans heavily into scarcity with only 1,111 pieces, which makes the collection feel curated instead of endlessly diluted.

Most NFT projects try to grab attention fast.
But every once in a while, a project appears that feels like it was built long before the blockchain even existed.
That’s exactly the feeling I got looking into The @thebeaksart by @DKashtalyan .
What makes it different is the artistic identity behind it.
You can instantly recognize the signature style:
dark surrealism, detailed dotwork, animal-human hybrids, and illustrations that feel more like gallery pieces than typical PFPs.
The project is built around a 1,111 supply genesis collection, but the interesting part is that the collection doesn’t feel “manufactured.”
Every character looks handcrafted with intention and emotion behind it.
Dima’s background also adds weight to the project.
Before Web3, he was already exhibiting globally, creating murals, and working with publications including The New York Times and MIT Technology Review.
That history matters.
A lot of NFT projects are created for the market.
The Beaks feels like an artist bringing an already established universe on-chain.
And honestly, that’s becoming rare.
In a space filled with fast trends and recycled aesthetics, projects with genuine artistic fingerprints usually stand out the longest.
