My personal take on trackflation comes down to 3 things (in no particular order):
1. Super shoes 👟
2. Bicarb (legal doping) 💊
3. Sprint-based training methods ⚡️
Coaches are prioritizing speed over junk volume when training for the 100 - 800m. In some cases the 1600 as well.

The girls 4x400m Relay (Joss Goodson, Holly Lafave, Gabby Robinson & Faith Abunaw) finishes 8th overall at the 2026 State Championship meet. The ladies fought hard these last 3 weeks and their hard work and efforts led to an All-State finish. Congrats ladies. 🐻⬇️

Congrats to Adelyn Messick on her 4th place finish at the 2026 State Championship meet. Messick threw a 2 meter personal best mark in prelims which carried over to finals to solidify her All-State honors. 🐻⬇️

Relay alternates are the track equivalent of "the bench" or "6th man" in team sports. Having alternates assigned is a practical necessity in training and could be the difference between All-State and DNS. Shout out to all the alternates. You are appreciated!

Unsportsmanlike conduct is a vague concept and should not be left up to interpretation. Any rule that could result in disqualification should be CLEARLY defined in your associations rule manual.

Mallard Creek boys track and field was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct after winning the 4x400 relay in the final event of the day. Had the result stayed, the Mavericks would have won the team state championship. Instead, they remained in second place.

You have to run 1:53.00 in the 800m just to qualify for sectionals. Not State...But Sectionals. How can you run 1:55 and not have a chance to compete at SECTIONALS!

Our Last Chance meet has been so rewarding over the last 4 seasons.
Athletes cheering for each other as they compete for one final PR with many trying a new event for the first time.
