Preseason game where Painter treats it like a practice game while Hurley will
treat it like the NCAA title game. Purdue keeps their streak of never having won one these exhibitions, then goes on to another great regular season. 😂

Was so lucky to win a dinner with Bob and Tom, back when they were still local. Sitting next to Bob, the conversation, the beers, watching him play along when one of the Q95 staff told the Chi Chi waitress that it was Bob’s birthday when it wasn’t. A great guy now gone RIP Bob 😢

Two years ago, I covered a game at Michigan's Crisler Center that had 75% Purdue fans. Now Michigan is national champs. Two years ago, Indiana was the laughing stock of Power 4 football. Now it's a national champion. That's how quick you can change a program in this era.

Damn, Vandy with 2,2 seconds, down 2 to Nebraska, almost the same situation as KY had yesterday. Vandy takes a shot outside of half court, shot hits the backboard, looks to be going in for the win, but rattles out. Nebraska on to the Sweet 16.

I’d say Purdue gets a lot more bang for what they spend on men’s basketball than IU, which budgeted $18M more in 2025 than Purdue. They also had $9M more than the next highest school’s budget, which was Tennessee.
