People are jealous that the Chinese Overwatch server gets free skins, but honestly I’m more bummed that they get all these official esports features—bracket predictions,player/game stats, and so much more. The app also has personal stats tracking like what overbuff used to be.
NetEase just puts in way more effort than Blizzard.

Fun fluff: Pearl Abyss, the developer behind Crimson Desert, who can write their own open world engine, somehow could not figure out how daylight saving works in NA.
In their previous work Black desert. Every time the daylight saving changes, they will spend a week manually adjust in game events' start time.
And in-game journal will break every half of a year because it's hard coded to a fixed timezone difference.
