Ambassador Alexander Darchiev and renowned Prof. William Brumfield who devoted his life to study Russian cultural #heritage photographing architectural #masterpieces stressed the importance of Pushkin’s role as expressing the soul of Russia and its search for truth and justice, while standing strong for traditional values. As creator of modern Russian language, Alexander Pushkin is praised for his immense literary legacy that belongs to the whole world. Flowers were laid to Pushkin’s monument at George Washington University campus donated by Moscow Government in 2000. Children from the Embassy school recited some of the poet’s famous poems.
