When Royce Lewis got hurt after 12 games he had an .822 OPS 4 XBH 2 HR and a 12/8 K/BB He missed ten games, but had further influence of the Twins push on his hitting mechanics. They told him to stop working with the private coach he hired over the offseason, that was largely responsible for the early results. In 19 games after his injury, he posted a .380 OPS with a 25/4 K/BB and noticeably different swing mechanics. Again thriving at CHS Field with the Saints, his best bet may be to tell the baseball ops and analytics guys, pushing certain changes down to the field, to respectfully get bent.
royce lewis’ primary offseason hitting work was focused on pre-swing mechanics: ditched pre-pitch stride lowered/calmed hands pre-loading hips these adjustments should help with pitch recognition & swing decisions

Pete had a hit and grabbed a bag immediately after this too. Absolute gamer
Numbers are in for this PCA grab: 15% catch probability, jump of 9.9 (!) feet above average. If that number holds, it’s yet another 5-star play.

An annoying part about Bregman's offensive struggles is that it wasn't too hard to see coming. Great leader, but not enough pop and it's scary to think what this could look like 2028-2030

Andrew Vaughn can go 4 for 6 with a bomb and 4 RBI and be on the bench for Sal Frelick the next day. Very strange

Interesting investing in this type of profile. I guess he could be a Jakob Marsee type? Good for Lara to secure some real money after rocky 2024 and 2025 seasons
Sources are telling me that the Brewers have, as speculated, agreed to terms on an extension with Top 100 prospect Luis Lara. The deal is expected to be for 8 years, and roughly $30 million, with two team options and incentives/escalators included.

This is Noah Shannon, model citizen, slated to be Hawkeye senior defensive captain 2023. He had guilt pangs for having bet $10 on the Iowa Women's Basketball team in the 2023 NCAA tournament. The only bet he ever made. He turned himself in to coaches for the transgression who forwarded it to the NCAA. They ruled him inelligible for the entire season, effectively ending his career. If the NCAA allows someone else to play after making thousands of bets, including many on his own team, I am going to fucking riot

Josiah Hartshorn’s first 50 PAs in High-A saw more tremendous success from both sides of the plate. Few 19 year olds are in High-A, let alone seeing his level of success. .395/.453/.744 185 wRC | 1.197 OPS 4 HRs - 3 2Bs #Cubs
