Baskerville shared on FanRun Radio’s “The Drive” on Wednesday that the
#Vols have hosted UConn LHP Cayden Suchy and Tulane OF Jason Wachs, and plan to host Cal Baptist transfer RHP Michael Malki this week.
The previously-undisclosed names mark intriguing portal targets for Josh Elander and company.
Suchy, who was named the Big East Pitcher of the Year in 2025, posted a perfect 5-0 record and a 1.81 ERA in 44.2 innings pitched.
Wachs, an American Conference First Team selection, led the Green Wage in batting average (.327) and slugging percentage (.527), and ranked 10th nationally with 21 doubles.
Malki, a California native, recorded a 3.12 ERA in 75 innings pitched this season for the Lancers, and tallied a season-high 12 strikeouts against Tarleton State.
The Big Orange recently received commitments from Mercer two-way player Braydon Kersey and Northwestern State LHP Brody Trosclair.
