Yesterday I spoke at hearing on the government response to lung illnesses and rising youth e-cigarettes use. They say politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies. I fear that's what's going on here.

Flavor bans won't affect the tobacco companies. If people don't buy their FDA-approved tobacco flavored junk, they'll have to buy cigarettes.
Regulators will eliminate the 12,000 small businesses that are their competition -- and the only serious threat they've ever faced.
