How
@QuirKids happened! 😁
I’ve known the
@quirkiesnft project since the very beginning, and it always held a special place in my heart. I loved the art, the vibes, and how kind and mature the community felt. Plus, my oldest and dearest inspiring Donut Queen friend 😄 in this space,
@princessashleiv, has been part of it for a long time, which made it even more special to me. I honestly couldn’t afford to join back then, so I admired it from afar, never imagining I’d get to contribute to it someday.☺️
Then one day, my dear friend
@jed_131 randomly reached out in DMs and asked if I’d be down to draw an OG Quirkie as a kid. I got instantly excited. I remember spending the whole night sketching Quirkids in onesies, just having fun with the idea. When my concept sheet got accepted, it honestly felt unreal. That’s when I got to meet and work with
@realpapii and the rest of the Quirkies team, including
@princessashleiv, and it truly felt like a full circle moment 💙
The biggest challenge for me was keeping the essence and signature style of the OG Quirkies while adding my own touch, but everything went smoothly. The trust and support from the team pushed me to do better and give the best art I could.
Seeing the Quirkids being loved not just by the team, but by the whole community, means more to me than I can explain. For an artist who spends countless hours creating, that feeling is everything. 🥰
This journey really reminded me why I believe in never giving up, keeping your head down and doing the work, and always putting your art out there. Be kind, work professionally, help when you can, and most importantly, respect your craft. Things really do come full circle when you do.👁️
I’m incredibly grateful to Jed, Papi, Ash, and the entire Quirkies team and community. It’s truly an honor and a blessing to work with you guys 💙
