Organising the @ihr_history @CHPPC_IHR events series is one of the highlights of my job. We’d be delighted to see you at any of these events over the next academic year. Please share with anyone you think might be interested.
We are delighted to preview the @ihr_history ‘s @CHPPC_IHR 24-25 events series! The series will focus on place-based histories as #knowledgeexchange. You can already sign up for our autumn events at history.ac.uk/seminars/peopl… Everyone is welcome.

Was a huge pleasure to work with our @VCH_Cumbria colleagues on this fantastic book. The very rainy February day I spent in Burton-in-Kendal will have been totally worth it when this 250th volume of @VCH_London arrives!
We've just approved the artwork for the cover label of our next #BigRedBook - our 250th, and our first ever publication for the county of #Westmorland.

So pleased to see this published - it's a fantastic reflection on the ways in which our (venerable), project can do innovative, collaborative things engaging a wide range of people and communities - and huge thanks to all our colleagues for their contributions to it.
Im excited to see this article about @VCH_London as #Participatory #Historicalgeography published in @RGS_IBGhe journal #Area. It’s part of a special section I’m editing with @Edward_Brookes_ to formalise participatory historical geog as a subdiscipline. rgs-ibg.onlinelibrary.wiley.…

#bonfirenight is an apt time to consider #Cumbria‘s relationship with gunpowder. Initially produced in mills and shipped to West Africa for trading goods and people, production later centred on blast mining. Find out more at… cumbriacountyhistory.org.uk/…

Just discovered this wonderful podcast series about 100 Black Women Who Have Made A Mark. It seeks to redress the erasure of Black women from portraiture in the UK and is led by Pawlet Brookes of Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage. sites.libsyn.com/547937
