I will never forget Joe Namath allowing the University of Alabama to use his name and helping Coach Mal Moore with the capital fundraising campaign known as “Joe Namath and Friends.” The effort transformed Alabama’s facilities and helped lay the foundation that later allowed the Crimson Tide to recruit Nick Saban. The original goal was to raise $100 million, but Coach Moore, with the help of many generous boosters, including Joe Namath, raised more than $240 million. Thank you, Coach Moore and Joe Namath, for believing in the Alabama brand and helping build a foundation that still benefits the University today. Roll Tide!
