Windsor-Essex is an economic engine for our province. Today, I led a roundtable with members of the Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce to discuss the challenges businesses are facing in this period of economic uncertainty. From trade and tariffs to pressures on local industries, we focused on practical solutions to protect businesses, support growth, and strengthen the economy. Congratulations to the Chamber on recently marking 150 years of leadership and advocacy for the region.

I met with local leaders today to hear how these pressures are affecting workers and businesses. We’re listening—and acting. As PM @MarkJCarney said earlier today, Canada has the strongest access to the U.S. market. We’re matching U.S. moves under CUSMA while working to secure fair outcomes for our economy.

It was an honour to join Minister Lecce to announce the expedited Lakeshore to Windsor transmission line. This critical infrastructure investment will unlock jobs in the manufacturing and greenhouse sectors and allow for new homes to be built in our communities. @ONgov
