One of the students made a lovely green complex in the lab the other day. I remarked that Percy would most likely exclaim "look sire I have made purest green". I have now realised that utilising quotes from Blackadder isn't quite current. Oh dear.

First day of my future education leaders course today. What did I learn? For starters,I can walk 2.5 miles in 30 mins to make start 😀 Second, lots of colleagues working on similar themes for cross-faculty collaboration. Third, colleagues think what I am doing will be valuable.

At Sale rugby today with THE Adams family. Sale sadly lost due to a player being sent off for a no arms tackle at a ruck after about 10 mins. A lot of the action was focused on the 22 m line just in front of us, so we were entertained.

Third train of the year today. First two=late. Today's=cancelled because it was 9 mins late and rather take passengers from Lancaster to Manchester, Northern Rail just cancelled. I will now be >hour late to work. Fair @northernassist ? No - but at least you are consistently bad

Perhaps the worst part of today's journey is that I am stood looking at the same train that was cancelled. It has magically appeared in Preston. Utter utter shambles. It has just driven off, TOWARDS Manchester with no passengers. Pointless.
