It was my pleasure.
What an incredible morning at the Rooted in Faith Prayer Breakfast. 🙏🇺🇸 Thank you to Ryan Patrick and Texans for Lawsuit Reform for sponsoring this special event. The breakfast was completely sold out, with a tremendous crowd gathered in fellowship and prayer as we begin another important day of Convention. We were honored to hear from our keynote speaker, John Hagee, whose message challenged and encouraged attendees to remain steadfast in their faith and convictions. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Faith, family, and freedom remain at the heart of what makes Texas strong.

RPT Convention is a BIG deal. Chloe from our Austin office enjoyed getting a photo with the live elephant brought in by Governor Abbott. We hope everyone is having a great convention! See y’all at the prayer breakfast in the morning.

“Some wonder where TLR stands. Let me be crystal clear. We stand for the rule of law, for free enterprise, and conservative principles. For 30 years, we haven't just talked about winning. We have funded the fight. TLR has poured over $138 million directly into electing Republicans.

"And just look at what we did together two years ago…through the Judicial Fairness PAC. We went into the trenches, and we funded the fight and flipped five courts of appeals. We took on 25 leftist judges, and we beat 24 of them. And we flipped the majorities of those courts. Yes. And we flipped those courts to those majorities in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi. That's what lawsuit reform does.”

Texas is competing for jobs, investment, and corporate headquarters. But growing liability costs and lawsuit abuse threaten the competitive advantages that helped make Texas the nation’s economic powerhouse. ICYMI: TLR CEO @RyanPatrickTX joined @GroverNorquist of @taxreformer and @pactconsumers’s @laurenzelt on the Leave Us Alone Podcast to discuss why keeping Texas competitive means keeping our courts fair and predictable.

USAA is returning nearly $1 billion to Florida members, and its CEO said the reason plainly: lawsuit reform.
Florida acted in 2023. Rates are stabilizing. Major insurers are filing cuts. Consumers are seeing the benefit.
Then he named where lawsuit abuse is still a problem: California, New York — which just acted to fix the problem — and Harris County, Texas. Texas led on lawsuit reform for decades. We can’t afford to fall behind now.

Blue-state taxpayer-funded contracts for trial lawyers. Millions in legal fees. Millions more flowing from those trial lawyers into Democratic campaigns. New reports say major trial law firms sent 99% of their political donations to Democrats and allied groups while cashing in on blue state government-backed contracts. Texans are tired of lawsuit abuse driving up costs and turning the courts into a political weapon.

When lawsuit abuse drives up costs, Texas families end up footing the bill. Higher insurance premiums, higher prices, and fewer choices all have one thing in common: someone is getting rich while consumers pay more. It's time to follow the money. For years, legacy corporate states assumed businesses would stay no matter how hostile the climate became. Now companies have options. TLR CEO @RyanPatrickTX put it plainly in a recent interview: “New York is left complaining rather than competing.” Texas continues attracting headquarters, investment, and corporate growth because policymakers made a deliberate choice to compete for business instead of punishing it.

Most people understand that higher taxes raise costs. Fewer realize lawsuit abuse does too. Higher insurance premiums. Higher home insurance costs. Higher prices. @GroverNorquist talks with Lauren Zelt of @pactconsumers and @RyanPatrickTX of @lawsuitreform on the latest Leave Us Alone Podcast: youtu.be/J3S-NI3HY6o

A hidden “lawsuit tax” is hitting American families harder every year. Skyrocketing lawsuit costs and nuclear verdicts are driving up insurance premiums, rideshare prices, food delivery costs, and everyday services. Americans for Tax Reform estimates the average household is now paying more than $6,600 a year because of lawsuit abuse. Billboard lawyers profit. Families pay the bill.

Texas Means Business. Corporate relocations are no longer limited to factories and regional offices. Companies are moving headquarters, legal operations, and corporate registrations to Texas at an accelerating pace. The reason is straightforward: Texas offers a faster-moving business climate, specialized business courts, and a regulatory environment focused on growth instead of political theater. Which do you think is the next major company to plant its flag in Texas?
