Shoutout to the @SAReportUnion for advocating for fair and equal working conditions. 👏🏾 It's something we believe strongly in, so a few years ago we created (and published) a compensation philosophy based on equity and transparency: SA2020.org/jobs.

1/ @SAReport management has declined to voluntarily recognize @SAReportUnion. We’ll be filing the necessary paperwork with the NLRB for an election. Workers remain committed to providing quality journalism while ensuring our voices are heard and our rights protected.

We made these documents public, in part, so other organizations can use them as a resource in developing their own policies. We encourage any organizations to borrow from—and build upon—what we've instituted.

Working toward a visionary future requires recognizing the humanity of people suffering, examining the structures of power that cause that suffering, and taking responsibility to enact change. Read more in our statement about Palestine and the urgent need for a ceasefire.

This new research from @TexasHousers shows that evictions are on the rise in our community and highlights where they're most prevalent. With one-third of San Antonians burdened by housing costs (sa2020.org/indicator/afforda…), many are losing their homes. Thread & data ⬇️

Texas Housers has launched our Bexar County Eviction Case dashboard, tracking filings in Bexar County 2018-2022. It's the first tool to publicly track eviction cases in Bexar County and examine where evictions are happening. Here’s why it matters. 🧵(1/9) texashousers.org/2023/10/26/…
