🚨 MERCEDES JUST PUT A MOTOR ONLY 8 CM THICK INTO A CAR THAT CAN HIT 62 MPH IN 2.1 SECONDS.
Instead of conventional radial flux motors, Mercedes is betting big on axial flux technology. In these motors, the electromagnetic force flows parallel to the axle, allowing two magnetic rotors to sandwich a central stator in a flat, disc-like layout.
The result is dramatically smaller and more powerful. The front motor in the new all-electric Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupe is just 9 cm wide. The rear motors are even thinner at roughly 8 cm each. Despite their tiny size, they help launch the heavy performance car from 0-62 mph in just 2.1 seconds, with a top speed of up to 186 mph.
Why this matters:
• Axial flux motors are significantly more power-dense and can be up to 50% lighter than traditional designs
• Their extreme thinness frees up packaging space in the vehicle for better weight distribution, aerodynamics, or interior room
• Mercedes acquired YASA in 2021 and has spent years developing the complex manufacturing processes needed to build them at scale
• The technology is debuting in a high-performance AMG model, showing Mercedes is serious about using it in its most demanding cars
The deeper implication:
While most of the EV conversation focuses on batteries and software, the electric motor itself is undergoing a quiet revolution. Axial flux designs have long been seen as theoretically superior but extremely difficult to manufacture at scale.
By solving the production challenges and putting these motors into a real high-performance car, Mercedes is pushing the entire industry forward. The next generation of electric performance cars may not just have bigger batteries they may have fundamentally better motors.
We’re watching the physical hardware of EVs evolve as dramatically as the software has.

This shows ~1,200 years of seawater erosion of the Khafre Pyramid, compressed into one minute.
For the first ~500 years a high ocean stand holds about 300 ft above the base; its waves lap the soft Tura limestone casing and dissolve it (carbonic acid) at roughly 0.08 ft/year — about one inch of perpendicular recession annually, and ~14× faster than the slow dissolution on submerged surfaces below.
As the sea recedes, it then pauses at successively lower stands, each held ~75–100 years, and each carves a distinct horizontal band where the casing is stripped to the bare core. Loosened blocks slough off at their own pace and fall down each face, piling into talus that mounds toward the center of all four sides.
The smooth white cap above the highest waterline is never reached and survives intact.

🚨 A FORMER NASA ENGINEER CLAIMS HE’S DISCOVERED A “NEW FORCE” THAT CAN OVERCOME EARTH’S GRAVITY WITHOUT ANY PROPELLANT.
Charles Buhler, who spent years leading NASA’s Electrostatics and Surface Physics Laboratory at Kennedy Space Center, says his private company Exodus Propulsion Technologies has found a way to generate thrust using only electric fields.
In vacuum chamber tests, their device reportedly produced enough force to counteract Earth’s gravity a claim that would completely rewrite the rules of propulsion.
Why this matters:
For over a century, every rocket we’ve ever launched has had to carry massive amounts of fuel.
If this “New Force” is real, spacecraft could one day maneuver indefinitely without expelling mass potentially making deep space travel, satellite station-keeping, and even atmospheric flight dramatically cheaper and more efficient.
The deeper implication is staggering:
We may be looking at the first real breakthrough in propellantless propulsion since the invention of the rocket.
If verified, this wouldn’t just change space travel it could reshape how we think about energy, momentum, and the fundamental laws of physics.
Of course, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. As of now, the work is still awaiting independent replication by outside laboratories.
But if this holds up…
