Day 14 of Women's Month and we are celebrating Ms Dimakatso Maheso.M. She is currently affiliated with the Centre for Astro Particle Physics (CAPP) at the University of Johannesburg studying towards her Master’s degree in Astro-Particle Physics.

Meet Ms. Ophola Mente, who was born and raised in the Xhosa homeland. She is enrolled in grade 12 at George Randall High School and was one of the lucky students selected to participate in the Women in Physics program.

There has been an 11% increase of female students who were registered at the school of physics between 2017 and 2021. Now one third of all enrolled students and women.
