Welcome to Day 10/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #2. Dougie Cochrane (Central Districts/South Australia) Despite his knee issues ruling him out for multiple weeks, Dougie is a special talent and will end up as a top 3 pick no matter what, His ability to play around the ground is something Port Adelaide will value and they will pay up no matter what for the NGA prospect. Dougie is expected back around the middle of July and may make a feature in South Australia's U/18 Champs side. #1. Cody Walker (Bendigo Pioneers/Vic Country) Cody Walker has fit in very well into Carlton's VFL squad and i feel whoever lands the Number 1 pick will make Carlton pay up for the Father Son prospect (Carlton will pay up no matter what) Cody is another versatile HF/Mid prospect that has shone in every game he has played in. Cody Walker and Jagga Smith will turn Carlton around in the coming years. Cody injured his shoulder in his first U/18 Champs game for Vic Country with severity to be determined in the coming days he still remains Number 1 but there's a slight watch ahead of his scans. This Concludes the Top 20. Thank you all for following along the past 10 days. With the first 2 games of U/18 Champs being wrapped up over the weekend the list is everchanging but hopefully this has helped you get a general idea on the top prospects for the coming 2026 AFL Draft.

Welcome to Day 9/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #4. Arki Butler (Sandringham/Vic Metro) Butler's Highlight reels speak volumes, he is a very talented hybrid option with his ability to play as a small forward or in the midfield when required. Arki burst onto the scene a few years ago after kicking 10 goals in a match at 15, he is getting Toby Greene comparisons and its clear to see why. Whoever takes Arki will get a player who can make things happen from nothing, very talented player. #3. Harry Van Hattum (Northern Knights/Vic Metro) HVH is one of the best ruck prospects of this decade (if not the best), his ability to work around the ground and be a 4th midfielder after a ruck contest or as a forward when resting is insane. He is a special talent and the best openly available prospect in the pool by a wide margin. We wrap up the top 20 tomorrow so get ready for my top 2 prospects. Check out my most recent posts before this if you haven't already as we continue the countdown. :)

Welcome to Day 8/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #6. Kodah Edwards (South Adelaide/South Australia) Ignoring Dougie Cochrane who has been injured, Kodah Edwards has had the best top age SA season out of anyone, he starred in the trial match vs NSW/ACT a couple weeks ago and made his presence known. He never panics in traffic which is quite rare for most young players nowadays and has very quick hands. Kodah always moves the ball forward with intent. He may not be the greatest SC option in an AFL system but he will provide whatever team picks him with a lot of spark. #5. Noah Williams (Geelong Falcons/Vic Country) Noah Williams is one of my favorite prospects in this draft, if you're looking for a pure midfielder in this draft this kid is number 1, Every other draft prospect around him has versatility while Noah just has a natural Midfielder mindset with his ability to break free and influence a game. When he has not been tagged he has been the best player on the ground in every game he's played thus far for Geelong. He has been tagged a lot in recent weeks and has while still playing his role, he has shown a bit of weakness to being tagged at stages and may be susceptible at the next level, but if he's left alone, Watch Out. (he suffered a hamstring injury in the first game of U/18 Champs today with severity unknown, his spot in the draft pool may be reduced.) the top 4 commences tomorrow with 2 games of U/18 Champs wrapped up the list is ever changing. Check out my most recent posts before this if you haven't already as we continue the countdown. :)

Game 1 of The U/18 Champs wrapped up today with Western Australia coming out the victors over South Australia 78-66. Letโ€™s go over some of the standout performers. Leo Steed was the star of the game and was rightfully BOG with a 30 disposal, 1 goal performance as he led a very strong WA midfield today. Steed has been climbing up draft boards as of late and this performance helped his case as one of WAs leading prospects. George Gale was Steeds partner in crime today and put together a very nice 27 disposal performance of his own alongside both of them in the midfield was Lucas Robinson. The Freo NGA put up a Bull of a performance with 25 touches (16 contested) and 8 Clearances. Harper Banfield was very impressive in the WA midfield too with 24 touches. brother of St Kildas Charlie put scouts on notice today. James Artemis was good for WA too with 2 goals and 21 touches. Cousin of Essendonโ€™s Jaxon kicked the match sealer late in the piece. Benji Van Rooyen and Next Years Number 1 Rated prospect Axel Walsh were standouts in the Ruck. Heath Mellody also did a fine job and used the ball nicely for his 21 disposals. On the South Australian side of things Gabriel Patterson and Anthony Long both kicked 3 goals in the comeback attempt Kale Matthews-Hampton did some nice things as a versatile Tall Ethan Herbert started out slow up forward but really came into his own when he moved into the Ruck Memphis Webb was one of SAs best with 24 touches while Bottom Age wingman Taj Garrett was good with 15 touches and a goal. Recap of Tomorrows Allies vs Vic Country Game starting at 12:45pm will be out around the same time.

Welcome to Day 7/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #8. Marlon Neocleous (Gippsland Power/Vic Country) The "Nuke" has been playing in the midfield for Gippsland but will provide whoever drafts him as a very exciting Small Forward. At 168cm he is a Nick Watson type of player and will become an instant cult hero for whoever drafts him. His vision for kicking and hitting targets is unreal and has a great eye for goal. His ability to set up his teammates will be admired at the top level. #7. Clancy Snell (Gippsland Power/Vic Country) Snell was a player who wasn't in my top 20 in April but has since blown the competition out of the water. Cousin of Willem Duursma has had an unreal past couple of months and after moving from the forward line in his bottom age season to the back line for this season, he has shown his potential and could be one of the best key defender prospects of the decade if given the opportunity. He has an unreal contested mark and his ability under the high ball is like nothing we've seen in the U/18 Bracket so far. His U/18 Champs campaign is one to watch because he could go even further up the board. the top 6 starts tomorrow after the first game of the U/18 Champs carnival today. Check out my most recent posts before this if you haven't already as we continue the countdown. :)

Welcome to Day 6/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #10. Ethan Herbert (North Adelaide/South Australia) Herbert Has jumped Louis Houndsome as the number 2 Ruck Prospect. His ability to take plucks out of the ruck and his ability to be an option forward is one clubs will appreciate. While he may be slightly undersized for the modern AFL ruck, he has the ability to be a Cooper Duff-Tytler type of prospect given the right system. He is yet to have a bad game at top age level. #9. Gus Teixeira (Sandringham/Vic Metro) Since i did my last mock rankings in April, this kid has shot up. Gus had an unreal April for Sandy and put together a very decent may to back it up. His ability to play in the midfield and as a forward option has been noted as one of the best in the pool and is looked at as a very modernized player and will adapt quickly to the style of play in the current AFL. One of my big watches for U/18 Champs. we jump into the top 8 tomorrow with U/18 Champs kicking off at 12:30, Check out my most recent posts before this if you haven't already as we continue the countdown. :)

Welcome to Day 5/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #12. Darcy Szerszyn (Dandenong/Vic Country) Darcy has played limited games this season due to a shoulder injury, but when playing he has been unreal. He is a modern day AFL prototype and has an unreal 1 on 1 presence with a good ability of getting the ball out of the backline. A big U/18 Champs awaits him. #11. Ethan Drever (GWV Rebels/Vic Country) Drever was a player who wasn't in my original top 20 in April but has since skyrocketed over the past couple of weeks, he has done everything right and has been GWVs best player in almost every game this season, if you're looking for a player with "Aura" Drever has it. He is a very solid midfield talent and his burst away from stoppage is up there with the best at U/18 level. the top 10 countdown starts tomorrow!, Check out my most recent posts before this if you haven't already as we continue the countdown. :)

Welcome to Day 4/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #14. Heath Mellody (Claremont/Western Australia) A Player I'm very high on and could well be my "snag of the draft" A top prospect out of WA, his kicking out of defence is one of the best in the draft and will suit the modern AFL. he likely suits a wing role in the AFL with his running ability and his urge to hit targets inside 50. #13. Gabriel Patterson (Glenelg/South Australia) Gabe is a very solid modern day style General Forward, Breaks away from a pack easy and can jump high for a man of his height. He did unreal in his AFL Academy games and proved himself as a top 20 prospect and will likely stay that way. #12 and #11 will be released tomorrow, Check out my most recent posts before this if you haven't already as we continue the countdown. :)

Welcome to Day 3/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #16. Harrison Chapman (Eastern Ranges/Vic Metro) Chapman is likely is a top SC Option for next year, His speed is unreal and will likely start at Halfback before being worked into a midfield role, he is a genuine game breaker when given the opportunity, keep a keen eye on him. 15#. Jack Pickett (Geelong Falcons/Vic Country) There's not too much to say on Pickett as he is missing his whole top age season due to an ACL injury, however he showed enough in his bottom age season to prove he is a top tier Key Forward in this draft pool. #14 and #13 will be released tomorrow, Check out my most recent posts before this if you haven't already as we continue the countdown. :)

This is the annoying part of the round. Not every name here has to go, but dead money canโ€™t keep blocking the next upgrade. Phillipou feels like the obvious pressure point. Whoโ€™s your biggest trade-out headache? #AFL #AFLSuperCoach #SuperCoach

Welcome to Day 2/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post 2 prospects counting down to my number #1 prospect, 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #18. Khaled El Souki (Western Jets/Vic Metro) Khaled may have gone a lot higher, he has shot up the rankings after some unreal games for the Western Jets but has since suffered an ankle injury that will keep him out of U/18 Champs, Regardless the Bulldogs tied NGA prospect will have very high value as a pure small forward with an ability to change the game. #17. Cody Templeton (Gippsland Power/Vic Country) A Dyson Sharp type of operator in the fact he is a leader of the midfield but needs some work, The Gippsland Power captain will likely start as a half forward at the top level and then be worked into the Midfield, He is one that has "Sully Robey Factor" and could shoot up on the draft board as a real flyer, he will provide elite spark in the coming years. #16 and #15 will be released tomorrow, Check out my most recent post before this for #20 and #19 if you haven't already :)

Welcome to Day 1/10 of my Mid-season AFL Draft Power Rankings. Each day i will post a list of my top 20 prospects 1 week out of the U/18 National Champs to hopefully help get your youngster knowledge up for the AFL Draft. Things change every week but as of the 7/6 this is my Top 20. #20. Ethan Matthews (GWS Academy and Allies) Ethan Matthews comes into the U/18 Champs in very hot form and being GWS club tied, they will enjoy having him available as a Midfielder Prospect. He has played for GWS' VFL team across Halfback and will need some work in that same VFL squad before coming into the first team. His Contest work is very nice and provides significant Upside. #19. Xavier Ladbrook (Gippsland Power and Vic Country) Xavier Ladbrook enters the U18 champs as a raw defensive talent who needs a bit of work, but if drafted into a system with one of the top tall backs in the league he could become instrumental. He is probably the most natural Key Defender in the draft but can play a bit of everywhere but may need someone with him to make him very special. Tomorrow #18 and #17 will be released :)
