While groups like the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil aim to promote eco-friendly practices, their impact is questionable. The severe effects on wildlife and local communities highlight the urgent need for stronger conservation efforts. The artwork "Going Home" tells a poignant story set in this turmoil. It begins with orangutans and aunties escaping a burning rainforest. One orangutan shares, "It was difficult at first... all that burning... the smoke... I think about them, you know? My family... friends... my home. Then the aunties took us to these doors... I was scared at first..." The aunties rescue the orangutans and lead them through doorways in trees into another world—perhaps a parallel universe or a vision of the afterlife.
