What an ending! The North compiled four corner kicks in the final seven minutes and then, in the 59th minute, Southside's Erik Martinez slots home the game-tying score on an assist from Eastside's Asher Wilson. Honors even after the full 60' have been played, 1-1. @SCHSL

Halftime: North 0-1 South. Goal by Jason Green-Adams (Waccamaw) at the 16' mark on a penalty kick after he was fouled in the box. Hot day in the Upstate with current temp at 89 but feels like 102 plus playing on field turf.

After the restart the South pounces on two point-blank shots with one save by William Ossman of Christ Church Episcopal, but on the third attempt by Waccamaw's Jason Green-Adams, Ossman fells him in the penalty area and JGA tucks home the spot-kick for a 1-0 South lead. @SCHSL

An hour played with the South holding a commanding 2-0 advantage as we reach the final 10 minutes (shortened from 80 due to heat). Little work for the South goalkeeper who just recorded her first two saves of the match in the 61st minute. @SCHSL @carolinacoaches

It was coming and the South takes advantage of their possession as Gray Collegiate's Victoria Coleman slotted a pass to Omi Griffin of James Island Charter who knocked her shot past North goalkeeper Sophia Tzouvelekas of Christ Church in the 57th minute. @schsl @CarolinaCoaches

50' and still South 1-0 as the Red squad has outshot the North 13-3 with four corner kicks to zero. South team has controlled this match but only leads by the slimmest of margins. All to play for the final 20 minutes. @SCHSL @CarolinaCoaches

We have been informed that the Second Half will be shortened by 10 minutes due to the rising heat. Currently it is 86 degrees but feels like 99 - it is hot! The Boys match will start at 11:45am and most likely with two 30-minute halves. @schsl @CarolinaCoaches

On the stroke of Halftime, the South squad earns its second corner kick and Liza Stavrou of A.C. Flora hits a shot that requires a back save by defender Emma Hilsmier of Fort Mill who was in the right place at the right time to deny a second goal. HT: South 1-0 North. @SCHSL

GOOOOAAAALLLL! Academic Magnet's Madeline Moye connects on a long range 30-yard bomb. Eillyah Tomes of Cane Bay set her up with the pass and she launched her shot into the upper right corner at the near post. A half-hour played and it is 1-0 South. @SCHSL @CarolinaCoaches
