Personally mine was Lloyd. I grew up watching him as a kid. He was the meanest SOB on the field. Every QB every RB was afraid of him.

I do have to say it would be pretty cool if all Baseball games had the crowds and atmosphere that soccer has in europe. Could you imagine PNC just rocking like that
Seeing 5,000 Scottish fans bring a footie atmosphere to a baseball game is a sight to behold ๐Ÿ˜‚ Doubt Fenway Park has ever heard anything like it ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

"The sight of Ozuna, the $12 million man, sitting in the dugout talking to Skenes instead of being on the field helping Skenes win the game was just pathetic yesterday."

302 players have at least 120 PA this year. Here is Henry Davisโ€™s (126 PA) ranks in that player pool: .135 AVG (301st) .236 OBP (298th) .278 SLG (285th) 44 wRC (295th) .514 OPS (295th)

It's nice to see someone noticing what I been saying. But there is more than just this. Arm position release position all different as well.
The Pirates havenโ€™t won a Paul Skenes start in over a month and are currently trailing the Marlins 2-1โ€ฆ Skenes has seen a dip in his fastball velocity this season and nobody in Pittsburgh seems to notice heโ€™s holding the baseball with a different set of muscles this yearโ€ฆ. Here he is last June holding the baseball with his interossei muscles (left video) compared to his flexor digitorum superficialis today (right video)โ€ฆ. The interossei originate on the hand, the FDS originate on the humerusโ€ฆ. This is why his hand & wrist orientation is so different at the top of his motion as well as at his follow throughโ€ฆ.

#Ozuna Predicament The only way he can get out of this season long drought is to play, despite the bad stats I would give him a run of several games in a row, starting tonight on the road Cant just sit him and expect him to come out of this drought. Its a 12 million investment.. They need his bat

Henry Davis is down to a .135 and I believe like a .098 since beginning of May. I don't care if Skenes wants him catching or not he needs to go. If Rodriguez is healthy it should be Endy or Bart when he's back.

Skenes looked better today. Yes he allowed 2 solo shots in the 2nd but he looked much better only allowing 4 hits. But to me he still isn't what he was the last two seasons.

I was looking at Yohan Ramirez's savent page from yesterday and just noticing now that his sweeper had a 6/6, 100% whiff rate All 3 strikeouts on the sweeper too, and he hit 99mph twice too with the FB? Please develop some control cause his stuff is pretty cool. Need these bullpen guys to improve if this season is gonna have any chance of surviving

It's the 4th and 5th metatarsals the bones in his left hand that connect the ring finger and pinky to the wrist it's something that he shouldn't be allowed to play through so it heals properly. I'm sure it would feel worse if it was his bottom hand on the bat.
Ben Cherington on Oneil Cruz: Injured the hand on Saturday vs. Atlanta. X-Ray in ATL was initially negative...standard protocol is x-ray first, if negative, then you just follow the player to see if symptoms are improving. Cruz said he was feeling better, and told the team he could go on Tuesday. Once he started hitting on Tuesday, 'he felt it more acutely,' and then a CT scan/MRI was taken...the more specific test then revealed the fracture. Cherington says 4-6 weeks is the timeline for Cruz, BUT... "knowing Oneil, he can play through pain. If he can get back out their quicker, he will."

Ben Cherington on Konnor Griffin Griffin is in his throwing progression. Want to make sure it's a legitimate [thorough and judicious] throwing progression. BC expects there will be a rehab assignment needed for Griffin, 'hopefully 'not too long from now.'

It's something to really think about if the Pirates are out of it come the dead line. They aren't going to be able to resign him. The more years he has in team control the bigger the return.Dealing him could bring a return that could set this team up nicely for the future.
Paul Skenes trade package today: If you are 100% certain you canโ€™t resign/extend him then get the biggest and best return you can including a young stud starting pitcher. Would you trade Paul Skenes to Dodgers for this package? Andy Pages 25 year old stud OF Dalton Rushing (C/OF) or a comparable elite Top 50 prospect. Josue De Paula (OF) โ€“ Dodgers #1 prospect consensus top-tier outfield prospect. Zyhir Hope (OF) Dodgers #2 prospect another high-upside young outfielder. River Ryan (RHP) Dodgers #6 prospect Young, MLB-ready starting pitching. Kellon Lindsey (SS) or another highly-rated lower-level prospect

Another loss in the books for the Pirates today. I'd like to think it's going to turn around but I just don't see it happening. Cruz is out a couple more weeks and then after being out who knows which Cruz shows up. And Griffin doesn't really have a time table set in stone yet

Paul Skenes day! Hopefully the Pirates build on yesterday's win. They need to put together a streak to stay in the heart of this wild card race. I know it's a long season ahead still but they can't give up ground. Here's the current NL wild card race

Seth Hernandez generated a lot of hype to start the season going 3-0 with a .96 ERA in low A. Since going to High A it's been a bit different he has a 4.57 ERA. He starts today
