Feel for the players and staff at @ospreys. Knowing what it’s like to find out about your future via Wales Online, while being kept in the dark by the suits running the club. Once again, no one has the courage to stand up and be honest about what’s really going on. As for Y11, the so-called β€œglobal sports management experts” β€” cowardly leadership from day one, nowhere to be seen when it matters. The real problem with Welsh rugby is people clinging to jobs, hiding in the shadows, and turning a blind eye just to stay on the gravy train.

Watershed moment for a Welsh rugby a couple of years back in the Vale hotel on the eve of a Wales England Six nations test match where the Union stood before a extremely frustrated room consisting of all the regional players in Wales, the Welsh squad at the time, WRPA and regional representatives where they incompetently told us their plans to cut the regional teams budgets, reduce squad sizes after new hotel was built and the top brass still earning huge sums of money. They were called out on the day had no answers to questions, avoided answering the majority, some answers were even laughed at, but they told us they were securing the future of Welsh Rugby. 2 years on and 14 test defeats later you look back and see they weren’t securing the future they were they putting the final nail in the coffin. But the players in the room knew they were wrong and some still chose not to strike where change could have been made and the players voices listened too. Felt a huge fumble at the time but now ……

Actually I feel the same for the current coaching group as I do the players, handicapped by the hand they’ve been dealt. Warren Gatland didn’t become a bad coach over night. These problems are far deeper rooted and an accumulation of poor decision making and lack of understanding and ability to stay ahead of the game. When all the things mentioned in the previous tweet were done better Wales produced - Sam Warburton, Justin Tipuric, Toby Faletau, George North, Jonathan Davies, Jamie Roberts, Dan Biggar, Lydiate the list goes on. All mentored by quality coaches and international foreign players who drove the standards of training and environment the likes of - Regan King, Tito, Rush, Jerry Collins, Molitika, Justin Marshall the list goes on who was the last world class international to come play rugby in Wales. Then compare that to England and Ireland. Also the standard of the academy coaching, rugby and S&C look at the size profile of the previous generation of players compared to our current group, a lot of investment went into these players. For me atm Wales lack size and power of the top international teams but it’s not out there you can’t pick what you haven’t got πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Gatland has blood on his hands as well not supporting the players through that strike. He came across to me as very smug in the after game interview like someone that knows the WRU don't have the money to fire him so he will stay on and just keep topping up that retirement fund.

Welsh Regional Rugby / WRU = turns out 10 years of poor investment in coaching, lack of quality foreign players, lack of investment in young players and academies, lack of investment in nutrition and supplementation of players / ability to be professional eg 5k/8k contracts, cutting budgets reducing squad sizes and the quality / depth of the professional game in Wales can lead to the worst national team results in history. Can’t say the boys on the field aren’t giving everything they’ve got, their just handicapped by the hand they’ve been dealt imho πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
