Twitter has clarified their position. From this point on, apps that attempt to recreate the Twitter experience will not be allowed to access Twitter services. Unfortunately, this ultimately means that Talon will cease to work.

Twitter is enforcing its long-standing API rules. That may result in some apps not working.
Community note
Currently it's all major third party clients not some. Also, it is unknown what long standing rules have been broken as no guidance has been provided to any API partner. And as the tweet notes, these rules have not changed.

One tool that's been immensely helpful in moving to Mastodon has been movetodon.org. It'll connect to your twitter and mastodon accounts, look through your twitter follows, find those folks on Mastodon, and give you the option to follow them there.

You'll want to re-run it periodically as more folks migrate to Mastodon so you can fill in missing follows. It's been a huge help, as losing track of folks is my main concern during this transition.

For some reason, I've had less luck migrating my #AfterDark account, though. I'm not sure if it's because folks just aren't migrating their AD accounts to Mastodon, or if something else is going on, but my AD is looking pretty empty over there.
