We had a fantastic day yesterday celebrating European Languages Day. We looked at the Greek Alphabet and translated words from Greek to English. We learnt how to say some phrases in Greek and explored the country using Google EarthWe even watched some traditional Greek Dancing 🇬🇷

As part of their Community Project, @SGradyClass & @e_prescottclass are raising money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice. Raffle tickets will be on sale next week for £1 a strip to win these fantastic prizes 🌼

Our last visitor of the week during Careers Week was Mr Kershaw, who told us all about what a career as a music teacher.

Mrs Cartwright came in this afternoon to talk to us about her career as a commercial lawyer. We learnt a lot about what skills you would need and what the job consists of. Thank you to all our visitors who’s have come to talk to us during Careers Week - we have learnt a lot.

Continuing with our careers week, Mr Lodge is talking to Y5 about a career in the police. We really appreciate all the time our wider school community have given to our pupils to give us an insight in some career paths we may not have considered.

This afternoon we had a visit from Kenny from @HCBSolicitors Wigan branch to talk to us about being a solicitor. We learnt a lot about the law and what a career as a solicitor is like.
