So tough to close the chapter on a college baseball career, but they always end, and Omaha is a great place to finish. Will closed his Rebel career the same way he started it. Homeruns. Proud of how he competed all year and especially this week in Omaha. This senior group got Ole Miss back to the CWS and fought hard every day. Grateful for the ride with this program and these guys. Thanks to @CoachMikeBianco, @MClementBSB, @15Lafferty, @coachmangrum and the staff for everything they poured into them. Thanks to @KeithCarterOM for being one of the best ADs I’ve been around. @WillFurniss love you, son. Hell of a way to go. As always, it works out the way it’s supposed to.

It’s a team full of really good people led by a really good man. That matters, and they treat the media and opponents and pretty much everybody with respect. It’s a group fans should be proud of.

Omaha can't be all that matters, and then you get there and it's not all that matters. Didn't play well for two games. The biggest reason they were in Omaha didn't have good weekends. Good year. Proud of this program.

Not sure how many Rebs can say this, but Will Furniss homered in his first & last at-bat as an Ole Miss Rebel Helluva career by this young man, he’ll be missed. He and these seniors gave it their all

Changed the entire game

Watched the balk a few times. Technically a balk but not called multiple times that inning on pitch comm issues. Balk emphasis has been on out of ordinary moves which is why Ole Miss LHP not called for balks. They're consistent. This was umpire insertion for little reason.
