And it’s a wrap folks! It’s disheartening to see so many good people and organisations leaving this platform, but it’s time to follow suit, as this place has become a toxic cesspit and has a preference for the far right, bigots, racists, fascists and those who love discriminating against anyone who isn’t white and healthy. The environment is no longer conducive to constructive dialogue, and the leadership under Musk has only exacerbated the issues. Staying on here feels like supporting him and that’s the last thing I want. If he loses it (Freudian slip) I may come back. Thank you to everyone for your support and engagement. I’m moving on to protect my MH and find a more positive space where meaningful conversations can thrive. I am on bluesky and there is an email for this account that you can still reach me on, but otherwise, it’s goodbye, good luck and Illegitimi non carborundum. Sabiha ❤️

That’s right, let’s blame the parents, not the failings in the SEND system. It never stops. @nsmtc

This whole narrative is toxic and unhelpful but unfortunately more people will be emboldened to do this thanks to the disgusting rhetoric coming from central government 😡

This is what is wrong about education and other professionals - they cannot believe that they are ever wrong. I have had my fill of these types.

Hey @nsmtc you want to pick a fight with “uncooperative and hostile” parents? By all means. Every parent with children with SEND needs will know about this bollocks. Parents are formidable. We don’t stop fighting. Fuck you Karen. Just try me.

My experience says the latter. Sorry 😞
But will they actually listen to disabled people or completely ignore our concerns as usual?

Unable to verify if this was said by Gandhi but it certainly rings true.

Nothing about us without us. Any time decisions are being made about a cohort and there isn’t a single person from that cohort around the table, those decisions will never be for the benefit of said cohort.

I’m wondering when @bbcquestiontime will ask a disabled person or disability charity on to QT, seeing as they talk about welfare a lot, the reforms will affect a lot of disabled people, but they seem happy to have a discussion completely without us being present or consulted

The government has published no evidence to suggest that cutting disability benefits will get people back to work. The evidence it has published so far found that these cuts would plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty. I’m joining @TrussellUK in calling on the government to rethink. This is how you can help action.trussell.org.uk/disab…
250,000 people – including 50,000 children – will be plunged into poverty as a result of the Gov’ts proposed benefit cuts - on its own analysis I’m joining @TrussellUK in calling on the government to rethink its cruel & completely irresponsible plan. This is how you can help

The Assisted Dying Bill is awful. All amendments tabled by people concerned about disability were rejected. Anorexia falls within the definition of terminal illness: this is abhorent and contrary to mainstream, evidence-based psychiatry. All MPs should vote against this Bill.

Ellie Reeves is living in the same cuckoo land as her sister Rachel Reeves. Where are all these jobs Ellie? Who are all the employers willing to employee Sick & Disabled people? This is about as disingenuous as #UKLabour MPs get. Do they hear themselves? FFS! #CutsKill
