The impact this would actually have on food security is so minuscule as to be laughable. Anyone actually serious about improving food security would be looking at encouraging people to eat a bit less meat, investing in more climate resilient agriculture, and banning golf courses.

Solar panels are for roofs, not for farmland.

History in the making! Jamie Adam, project manager at Kirk Hill Wind Farm, buries a time capsule under the T7 turbine. Inside are notes and drawings from the pupils of Bishop Cornish Primary School, the first school in the UK powered by its own wind farm, thanks to becoming a member of the Kirk Hill cooperative. The kids' visions of the future and the impact of this project have been captured for generations to come and we couldn't be happier to bury them under the turbine they cleverly named "Gayle."
