Our Energy Work Group recently toured the SoCalGas Energy Resource Center! Members got a firsthand look at next-gen clean energy tech, including a renewable hydrogen-powered microgrid. We're excited to see how they bring these insights back to shape a sustainable #SGV.

The Executive Committee took action on key regional items this month, including the LACAHSA board appointment process, establishing a preferred framework for @metrolosangeles governance advocacy, and finalizing the upcoming Governing Board agenda.

This June, the City Managers' Steering Committee met with @SCE for an informational session on their Public Safety Power Shutoff & Wildfire Mitigation Plans. We hope these measures are never needed, but it is important to know a plan exists as we work together on regional safety.

At our latest Homelessness Committee meeting, members learned about the Domestic Violence & Homeless Service Coalition (DVHSC) from @DWCweb, LAHSA, and USHS. The session highlighted key strategies to address the intersection of domestic violence & homelessness.

SGVCOG & God’s Pantry recently attended the LA Food Equity Grant Convening, highlighting over 3M lbs of recovered food, and that the funding awarded supported a new commercial kitchen, workforce development, & housing initiatives in Pomona & beyond! 🤝
