After more than two decades of dedicated service, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office proudly congratulates Custody Public Information Officer Jennifer “Jenn Jenn” Kline on her retirement.
Jenn began her career on July 31, 2000, as a Correctional Officer, working across all three jail facilities including Jail Core, South Jail, and the Honor Farm, on both day and night shifts. Early on, she became a Correctional Training Officer, helping train and mentor many new Correctional Officer Trainees. In 2004, she was selected by her peers to join the Peer Support Team, where she remained a trusted and active member throughout her career.
From 2008 to 2013, Jenn served on the Transition Team and played a key role in securing an $80 million grant for a new jail facility, reflecting her commitment to improving operations for both staff and those in custody.
In 2019, she stepped into her role as a full-time Custody Public Information Officer, where she truly made her mark. From covering incidents and events to coordinating the Citizens Academy, Jenn handled it all with professionalism and unmatched attention to detail. She also played a major role in the success of the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Ball, one of the agency’s largest fundraisers, ensuring it made a meaningful impact year after year.
Within the PIO unit, Jenn was the core that kept everything running smoothly, always one step ahead and naturally filling the role of team mom. Her loyalty to the office was unmatched, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Jenn dedicated her career to serving the people of San Joaquin County, often sacrificing time with her own family to care for her work family. We wish her a well-deserved and happy retirement.
