The team from Lutterworth Sports Centre came to complete a special assembly for Drowning Prevention Week. All of Sapling Class have recently achieved their swimming safety awards in their swimming lessons so were able to answer vital questions about how to stay safe near water.
Our Year 5 and 6 children completed the Brownlee Foundation Mini-Triathlon today at Pingles Leisure Centre in Nuneaton. Swimming, running and cycling. We are so proud of the resilience and determination they showed. This is a great achievement for them all. Well done! 👏👏
What an amazing day! Our Summer Fayre on Saturday was absolutely brilliant and so much fun ☀️ We had lots of stalls, games, a raffle, tombola, bouncy castle and delicious food; plus excellent Maypole dancing from our pupils.
We had a fabulous afternoon performance last week! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the performance- there was a party in the hall 🥁We are very lucky to have excellent music teachers who visit our school - piano, flute, choir and drumming teachers! @dcpdrumsuk
Design and Technology week! Acorns made sock puppets - designed and created to look like fantastic creatures! 🦉🐲 Saplings made illuminated billboards which are awesome.They used control boxes to sequence the fairy lights and designed them all themselves. Tall Oaks made teddies.
We had the best end of term treat today - a visit from Lutterworth Fire Station.🤩 They gave a great assembly where Miss Bulmer was invited to try on all their equipment! They also spoke on the importance of having smoke alarms fitted and having an evacuation plan. #firesafety
We had the most inspiring day yesterday. The whole school went a tour around Leicester - visiting a Mosque, a Madir, St Philip’s Church plus a visit to a Gurdwara. Our children were exceptional 🤩 It was a phenomenal day, that the children will remember for a very long time.

This morning we were visited by Charlie, an engineer involved in motorsport. She talked about the maths and science skills she uses and the things she noticed as a female following the career pathway to become an engineer. #inspiration#STEM
We have found a new school tradition to add to our calendar - Bowls! We made friends with the wonderful SK Bowls Club as they invited some of our pupils to try their hand on the green.

Last week the new Reception children joined us for a Teddy Bear Picnic.
They had a wonderful time getting to know their new friends and going on a Teddy bear hunt in the woodland walk to find their new bears. 🐻
We’re not sure this week could get much busier for our Year 6s but they enjoyed a ‘Leavers’ day at the Outdoor Pursuits Centre.
