SLC Fire responded to a reported apartment fire ~7:35 PM. Light smoke from a unit, possibly caused by an e-bike battery charging/exploding.
At least 1 person transported with injuries (severity unknown). 3 others treated on scene, no transport.

#BREAKING: Handcuffed Burglary Suspect Escapes Police Vehicle in West Valley City
Taylorsville Police responded to a residential burglary. A male suspect fled on foot, was taken into custody, but while being transported to jail — he kicked out the window of the police vehicle and fled again while still handcuffed.
Multiple agencies are now searching for him, including the DPS helicopter.

#UPDATE At approx 1:15 PM #SLCFire crews were dispatched to 1135 N Twickenham Drive on a grass fire threatening some homes. No structures have been involved. Air resources are on scene and crews continue to get this fire under control. There was one civilian injury that was reported to be minor. Stby for updates.

#PoliceIncident U-201 3200 W EB #Closed. #WVCPolice were attempting to stop a possible stolen Black Ford Truck when it fled NB on Bangerter. At 2100 S Spikes were setup and were successful. The truck went EB 201 and stopped at 3200 W. As of now, all EB traffic is temporarily closed/stopped. They are trying to see if an occupant is in the truck or fled before they came up on it. If your travels take you EB from the west side of the valley, use an alternate route.

#FinalUpdate When the vehicle was spiked, it fled at a high rate of speed heading EB from Bangerter Hwy. Police located the truck at approx U-201 3200 W. After about 30 min and assistance from outside agencies and drone, the truck was abandoned. Suspect is outstanding.
