Trailers are built to be used, and scratches are part of the job. With liquid paint, damaged areas can be buffed out and spray painted. Powder coat repairs typically require a lot more work to achieve the same result.

📍 Lethbridge & Area Do you own a Southland Trailer? We’re looking for customers who would let us come out to their job site and film some content featuring their trailer and business.

Just kidding, go ahead and use it. 😏 You can never fully replicate the OG. The proof is in the payload. Our engineered sill design helps reduce weight without giving up strength. That means more payload on every load.

Guys, I know some of you have commitment issues… But if you like trailers, just follow us already.

Scissor Hoist vs. Telescopic Hoist — Why We Choose Scissor. When you’re moving serious loads, uptime matters. ✅ Less Maintenance – Fewer wear points and less stress on components means less time in the shop and more time on the job.

More payload. Fewer trips. More money.

Liquid paint is easier to maintain, easier to repair, and built to last. That’s why we trust it on every Southland trailer.

Do you wear gloves when you hook or unhook your trailer? 🧤 Some are too afraid to admit it’s better. 😅 Cleaner hands, better grip, fewer busted knuckles… and a whole lot warmer in the winter.

Good thing I crossed my chains! #southlandtrailers

Heavier DOES NOT equal stronger. Proper engineering wins every single time.

One of the biggest mistakes first-time dump trailer buyers make? They focus only on GVWR and ignore payload. Example: Two dump trailers can BOTH have a 15,000 lb GVWR… But one trailer may only have a 9,000 lb payload capacity, while the other can haul 11,000 lbs.

Every Southland dump trailer comes standard with a solar panel — because dead batteries and downtime shouldn’t be part of the job.

Strength-to-weight ratio matters more than most people realize. A trailer can be built with thicker steel, heavier frames, and more material everywhere — but that doesn’t automatically make it stronger. In many cases, it just means you’re towing extra dead weight.

Big jobs need big storage. Our Tilt Decks come equipped with oversized front toolboxes built to handle chains, binders, straps, tools, and everything else you need on the road. More space. Better organization. Less clutter in the truck bed.

It’s a hot topic! How do you hook your chains up? 👇

Liquid paint is easier to repair, touch up, and maintain long term. There’s a reason vehicles use paint systems — not powder coat. Real trailers need real-world serviceability.

Should we post the full dance?

Alright… controversial opinion 😅 If you can’t back up a trailer without a backup cam, can you actually back up a trailer? I’m not saying the camera doesn’t help… but mirrors only builds character 😂 What’s everyone using?

Everyone talks about the price tag. Few talk about what it’s worth after you’re done with it. A cheap trailer isn’t cheap if it’s worth next to nothing in a few years. Our trailers are built to hold their value — structurally, visually, and in the eyes of the next buyer.
