True or false🧐: system administrators are introverts who love caffeine and Szechuan food. Find out from Kelly Climer, an ICER sysadmin, who took us behind the scenes to learn about his profession. Check out "A Day in the Life of a System Administrator." bit.ly/3NjmaMK

What are the biggest issues facing plants globally? How do we work as a team to tackle them? Delighted to share my 1st author paper, '100 questions facing plant science: an international perspective' How did we ID our Qs? What did we find? nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/… 1/n

Replying to @JasperdeLange_
Most land in most American towns is zoned exclusively for single-family homes. Not to mention, most areas have parking mandates and minimum lot size requirements that would make this style of development virtually impossible to build.

This is beautiful!!!! I want to live in a place like this 😍
Catfiddle Street in Charleston is a newly built development of 24 homes in a single acre. This should be broadly legalized across North America.

not a subtweet or anything just an occasional reminder that real and amazing people live here! using Lansing as a pejorative for political dysfunction is lazy and not clever, most of the people you're hating on live somewhere else

I'd hoped to be at maize meeting starting today, but a broken ankle has changed my plans. However, the amazing @McKenaLWilson is bringing my poster and putting it up for me, so you can still go read it at poster 73! Also, you should check out McKena's talk (number 9)! Thanks!

Exciting indeed, do you identify as black or afro-american plant scientist? Do you mentor or supervise a black or afro-american scientist? Do you have a colleague, labmate, friend of this ethnicity? Be one or be an ally, follow @BlackInPlantSci and check updates. RT

No sé quiénes son, pero LOS AMO, JAJAJAJAJA.
Well, happy they at least reeled back in and didn’t follow through on the most harmful aspect of this decision, but removing the shelter is still beyond ridiculous… it rains so much here 🤦‍♀️

Calling all people with cars: Boycott. Frandor. If we’re going to have a car centric world anyway, why don’t we drive to west Lansing/south lansing/literally anywhere else to go to the same chain stores? There are other nearby groceries, and things like Joann’s are less frequent
Ugh. So the owner of Frandor is one of those kind of dudes, huh? Yes, let's make Frandor less accessible because you have a phobia of homeless persons.

Let’s use our cars in the greater service of public transit!! If you know someone who takes the bus to Frandor out of necessity, offer them a ride!! Let’s do everything in our power to make Frandor regret removing this bus stop!!
