It is finished. @stevewaid, one of the most most accomplished print journalists to ever step foot in a NASCAR media, died this afternoon after a long fight with the after effects of cancer. He was 77. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to @VictoryJunction or @LeavineCancer.

Pocono set the seeding for the upcoming In-Season Challenge. Bad news for Denny Hamlin: For the second year in a row, his first round opponent is projected to be none other than Ty Dillon. "My kryptonite. What's the first race?" "Sonoma." "I'm cooked."

This is another great segment by @SteveLetarte, highlighting the challenge the No. 5 team had by not picking its own pit stall. Having the footage of Cliff Daniels asking for advance clearance from the No. 51 team is just another great plus of Prime's coverage.

If you watched Ryan Blaney in "The Undercovers" episode where he plays an old British man during a Penske shop tour, he gives some insight into what it was like:

Rowdy race day memory: Kyle loved In-N-Out more than anything. We had that in common. He even factored into dirt trips whether it was an In-N-Out state. He also just loved to make these little videos. Skits, memes, whatever. “I make ur job too easy!!!” he would tell me 😂💯 1/2

For a reference, the Max Verstappen crash at Silverstone was 51 Gs.
Christopher Bell says he was told his hit was 63 gs. "To get out of there with just a fractured wrist was pretty immaculate." Says he's thankful he doesn't have a head injury.

The duo you didn’t know you needed🤞🏾🏁 NASCAR’s First Black Woman Driver × NASCAR’s First Black Woman Tire Changer. And the crazy part?? We’re on the same team! Dystany, I’m so so so proud of you. Thank you for being here and for showing the world what’s possible. I love being your tire changer! This is why representation matters. Little girls can now look at us and see that they belong here too. 🙏🏾🥹 #nascar #history #xplore #brehannadaniels #nascarracing

As a reminder, brain health (along with care giver support) is the focus of the @rbfamfoundation , including the “Fund a Fellow”’ program with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Sports Medicine Concussion Clinic, run by Dr. Micky Collins. (Names that are familiar to readers of @DaleJr ‘s “Racing to the Finish”). So it’s no surprise to me that @Blaney actively participates in data collection and research related to crash impacts.
For comparison, Ryan Blaney’s crash in the Daytona duel race a couple years ago was 55 Gs. His crash in the Daytona summer race was 70 Gs.

“The car did absolutely perfect and all of my safety gear did absolutely perfect, and that’s why I’m back in the car this week." Christopher Bell expresses his first takeaways six days after enduring the hardest hit in NASCAR's Next Gen era. @NASCAR.com: nascar.com/news-media/2026/0…

Christopher Bell says he hit the wall so hard at Michigan, his ear piece popped out and he had no communication with his team. Bell "knew my wrist was broke right away because I couldn't disconnect my shirt." His foot "hurt really bad," but it was just bruised. He also knew right away his head was OK because he didn't black out, remembered everything (including staring at the MICHIGAN USA sign right before slamming the wall) and passed the concussion tests in the care center. "Super, super blessed I didn't hit my noggin."

👇 This was my first race weekend working for Kyle. I had got COVID and wasn’t there. This guy LOVED making videos and also Days of Thunder. I had seen it maybe 3 times, him maybe 100. We worked thru this video for hours (all his idea) until I got it “right” 😂🤣 x.com/KyleBusch/status/14099…
