☀️ Summer is here, but we're taking a moment to look back on a year worth celebrating. From employee recognitions and retiree celebrations to promotions, senior walks, and graduation, these moments tell the story of a community that showed up, worked hard, and achieved great things. This year brought many milestones, including the first graduating class of Stafford STEM Magnet Academy and 296 graduates from Stafford High School, 98 of whom earned associate degrees before receiving their diplomas. A special thank you to Greater Saint Matthew Church and Board Trustee Joyce Wilkins! Yesterday, Stafford Middle School had the honor of welcoming the Greater Saint Matthew Church Women’s Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Gusta Booker III. These amazing women poured into 27 of our 7th and 8th grade girls through mentorship, encouragement, and meaningful conversations centered around emotional wellness, academics, social skills, confidence, and life lessons. Trustee Wilkins was grateful to help make the connection between the Greater Saint Matthew Church Women’s Ministry and Principal Marissa Vanison to help bring this opportunity to Stafford Middle School. It was truly a beautiful experience watching our girls feel seen, heard, encouraged, and uplifted. Stafford Municipal School District honored Dr. Robert Bostic last night at the superintendents final school board meeting before retiring. It was a night to celebrate his accomplishments and look back at how far the district has come over his nearly 12 years of leadership.
