The Beech Inn,Chorlton. Very attractively and well maintained pub from the outside, and friendly within. It's in a slightly more set back & quieter area of Chorlton, but still with many supporting venues nearby. All day opener, with food menu, snug area to the right. Had cask!
I was watching Americas Got Talent last night. A child dance group were auditioning, Simon asked the girls what would you spend your winnings on?
A girl around 13 said "medical bills because I was born with Spina Bifida"

Huge congratulations to the Prime Minister for introducing something that has only existed for the entirety of my career in criminal law.

Why build a bridge at Clifton? The Admiralty at the time said that the Bridge had to be 100ft above high tide to allow tall ships to pass. Clifton was the highest and narrowest point of the winding gorge so it seemed like a sensible spot. #didyouknow? #cliftonsuspensionbridge
All at <insert club> condemn the vile, abhorrent, cowardly and plain racist abuse of <insert player> on <insert social media platform> during last night’s game.
It’s all too familiar, isn't it?
But we cannot let it become acceptable.
We are disgusted.
Enough. Is. Enough.
Here is a peep at one of the illustrations that Emilia from @sgs_college has done of the Victorian peep egg from our archives. Inside it has three printed pictures mounted on a moving spindle with a lens at the top to view them. It would have been sold as a novel souvenir!
170 years ago, 15th March 1851, the Victoria Pit disaster occurred. An explosion at the Victoria Pit in Nitshill killed 81 of the 83 men & boys in the mine. The below image is of the Nitshill Mining Disaster Memorial, located near Nitshill station. Today we remember those miners.
