You know exploration of human hair from poor women is real but you still decide to not let go and continue to buy them.
And claim you are a feminist ? ๐ซ ๐
Iโve bought and worn wigs before, so Iโm not outside this conversation. But lately Iโve been thinking more about the global human hair industry and where a lot of that hair comes from.
As Nigerian women and feminists, maybe itโs worth asking harder questions about the ethics surrounding wearing wigs and the exploitation of these poor women who are the "donors".
At the same time, Iโm also trying to embrace my natural hair more. Just something I think we should reflect on collectively.
