One of the worst things Scottish football did in recent times is merging the SPL and SFL.
Semi-Pro and Part Time teams shouldn't be associated with the top.
All they had to do was increase the SPL teams to 18, with 3 Pro/Rel places & leave the SFL to fix regional Pro/Rel below.

I've argued for & against countless reconstruction ideas.
Whether it be 10/12/14/16/18/20 teams in the Prem.
2 things are clear to me:
1️⃣ We NEED change.
2️⃣ We NEED a simple format, that doesn't involve any split.
❌ 12/14/16 does not work well.
✅ 18/20 is the way forward.

Plenty of breathing room in the Premiership, for teams to delevop a decent style of play, instead of parking the bus, to avoid relegation.
More variety of games, to stop the boring repetition.
A better platform for young Scottish players to develop.

We knew the SPFL Sky Sports TV deal was terribly undervalued and pre-historic before it was agreed.

🚨 DAZN have launched a bid to purchase the live TV rights to every single EFL game from the 2024/25 season onwards. 📺
It would end the 3pm Saturday blackout in the UK.

Well this was my take on a new Scottish Conference league nearly 1 year ago.
This is merit based and the B Teams would have to get promoted to it, instead of being gifted it.

If we absolutely had to stick with 12 teams in the SPFL Premiership...
I'd rather play 32 games instead of 38, to stop some of the boring repetitiveness and unfair Home&Away pre split.
Home & Away pre-split = 22 games
Home & Away post-split = 10 games
