Love this idea.
Albuquerque turned a wall of its airport bookshop over to its local university press, and goddamn, now I want this in every airport.

Very cool to see an excerpt from a Vanderbilt University Press title in The Paris Review. Lily Meyer's translation of Clara Usón's The Shy Assassin is beautifully rendered in English. theparisreview.org/blog/2025…

Great reception last Thursday in Washington, DC, with friends from Congress, NGOs, academia & journalism to discuss my book "Drug Cartels Do Not Exist", narconarratives, militarism, and transnational violence. Hosted by my friend @Hesanche, president & CEO of @MiFamiliaVota.

Does anyone know how to find historical SEC filing data (10-K's) for publicly traded companies dating back to the 1980s? I've tried using EDGAR, but cannot find filings earlier than the mid-1990s.

I'll never forget watching Eraserhead for the first time. It changed me. And loved everything the man did. The 2017 Twin Peaks season was a real gift.
Breaking News: David Lynch, the visionary filmmaker, has died at 78. He was known for his surreal style in films like “Eraserhead” and “Mulholland Drive,” as well as the TV series “Twin Peaks.” nyti.ms/3PDAoZa

Fun stat from David Blackbourn’s magnificent Germany in the World: A Global History 1500-2000: By the second half of 17th century, about 6-7 million books were being published each year!

I’ve really been enjoying Michael Willrich’s American Anarchy. A very compelling narrative history with his great prose style. Highly recommend.
