Then I need to grab the appropriate columns from Excel and add them to the “H”eader or “L”ine line in order to import the CSV. I don’t use excel much, any recommendations on the quickest way to do this? Thanks! #sqlhelp 2/2
I have an excel spreadsheet that needs to be converted to CSV following using a certain format, then imported into the db. The primary key will be created during the import but I have to split each Excel line into 2 lines on the CSV file: “H” & “L” (header and lines) #sqlhelp 1/2
Starting out as "accidental dba" & wanted to see what you use to automate manipulation of CSV files. I get a CSV file from a vendor with a lot of garbage in it. Is there a way to automate it so I can pull only certain fields from it and then import it into my DB? Thx! #sqlhelp
Thanks to @SQLEspresso and her recommendation, I am very excited to find out that I just got approved to go to my very first #SQLPassSummit! I am a complete newbie, so I am hoping that I will be able to learn a lot from it! #sqlpass
Good morning, #SQLHelp! After attending @SQLEspresso class at SQLSaturday in Phoenix wanted to join this community. Looking forward to learn a lot from everyone here!
