The data is both affirming and surprising, so I dove in more, which means some caveats and interesting points that still challenge conventional wisdom about who has earning potential. This becomes a great example of how people can use & shift stats so will use in class 1/x
Still flabbergasted by this data released about earnings of @CUBoulder alums. Take a look-see at that there top line. Feel free to share this with the next troll who asks you what you can do with a degree in History.

So we can spin this so many ways, but big takeaway is earnings are not guaranteed with any major. Being able to articulate the skills gained for jobs in and out of the field is vital and 1 place we can help our students. 6/6

Cross-cultural examples, often from unexpected sources and different times, to illustrate key concepts (such as meaning, authorship & intention) is at the heart of #RELteaching. #RELexamples

Replying to @StudyReligion
A productive summer! We have submitted 6 books in final stages of publication, more than 20 book chapters (we can only count so high in Humanities, wink), 4 peer reviewed journal articles coming out soon, plus many publications in development #RELResearch #WhatRELdidthissummer

The Fall semester is about to start, so campus is shifting from construction barriers and noise to crowds of eager students, which means it’s time to take stock of all we have accomplished #WhatRELdidthissummer (e.g., construction fence around our neighbor Garland hall is gone)

Comparison at work. Are Pearl Harbor & Hiroshima similar (site of devastating attacks bookending World War II in US, significant to collective memories of each nation) or different (attack on naval base vs civilian target)? theguardian.com/world/2023/j… @AsianStudiesUA @StudyReligion

🚨Generative AI has a serious problem with bias🚨 Over months of reporting, @dinabass and I looked at thousands of images from @StableDiffusion and found that text-to-image AI takes gender and racial stereotypes to extremes worse than in the real world. 🧵 1/13
