On the occasion of #WorldCordBloodDay , the Cord Blood Bank at the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) participated in celebrating this global event, which was launched in 2017 to raise awareness about cord blood therapy and its vital role in saving lives. This occasion is celebrated annually in November, coinciding with the anniversary of the first cord blood transplant performed in October 1988. The activities included organizing an awareness booth at the specialized Hospital for Women’s Health in Riyadh, under the umbrella of the #Ministry_of_National_Guard_Health_Affairs. In addition to a speech delivered by Professor Dunia Joudat @DrDunia1, Director of the Cord Blood Bank, in which she highlighted the importance of cord blood donation and its role in supporting patients in need of stem cell transplantation. On #WorldCordBloodDay 2025, the Cord Blood Bank at #KAIMRC extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the donating families, emphasizing that this humanitarian contribution supports public cord blood banks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and enhances treatment opportunities for a greater number of patients locally and internationally. #WCBD25
