Hey @united, I know CrowdStrike put a damper on yesterday’s travel, but what’s up with cancelling today’s flight UA 1614 to Washington DC AT BOARDING TIME? Don’t get me started with the rebooking options getting in on Wednesday. That’s in 4 days. Unacceptable.

Update: finally got to a hotel room. After 2 hours without communication @united told us to get on a bus where they would put us up for the night. And after we were all on the bus, THEN told us we were being driven 3 hours away

Sometimes, support comes in the form of Sponsorship. As someone new or breaking into a field, it can be difficult to connect with specific opportunities (or even recognize that they exist!) - a great sponsor can recognize and bridge this gap.

✅if patient has no GI symptoms AND held their meds as directed, proceed as usual
❓🧐there is no known optimal duration of fasting for patients on GLP-1 agonists. At present, follow ASA fasting guidelines

🛑if ROS (N/V, bloating, and pain), consider postponing elective cases
🛑if meds not held but patient without GI symptoms, proceed with full stomach precautions (or consider gastric ultrasound)
✅consider endo consult for management of hyperglycemia resulting from held meds
