Unusual Airport Runways: Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) runway at an elevation of 8,000 ft (2,375 m). > 50% of flights landing are private.
Mountains on both sides, ever-changing wind conditions and low visibility make the approach into ASE famously challenging.

RAF Chooses Falcon 900LX to Replace Aging BAe 146 - Dassault Aviation will deliver two Falcon 900LXs to the UK’s Royal Air Force (RAF).
Replacing a fleet of 4 BAe 146s, the Falcons will primarily transport senior military officers, government officials and the Royal family.

At about 2,000 m (6,500 ft), Courchevel Altiport (CVF) is the highest runway in Europe, 537m (1,760 ft) long and is built on an 18% gradient upward slope.
There is a no-go-around procedure for landing at CVF, meaning that it is only accessible to private aircraft.
