Complimentary clinic headlined by several VIP including VBCA Hall of Fame Coach inductee Ron Tugwell. One of my favorite nuggets from Tugwell to the youth players: “ Do you know why the last 30 mins of long practices are the most important? Because it’s the equivalent of the last two innings of a baseball game & when physical and mental fatigue kick in.” His comment was not a rocket scientist comment, but it’s just one of those things when you think about it, sounds so simplistic, but it’s so very spot on…whether you’re coaching college or high school, let alone youth. It’s much easier to stay. “Locked In,” during the first couple innings. Winners find a way to win, is another phrase we all have heard.
